02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide and maintain a sports and leisure facility open to the community of Appin and environs. As the facility is within Strath of Appin Primary School's grounds, the school, via the headteacher, will assume management and control of the facility during extended school hours (8.00am - 6.00pm). Outwith these times and during school holidays, the facility is open to the Appin community as a sports and/or leisure facility. A small committee representing the school and the wider Appin community will oversee the effective management and maintenance of the facility.

Constitutional objectives
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Appin and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisuretime occupations so that their conditions of life may be improved.
