02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Kirriemuir Youth Project aims to improve the quality of life of young people living in the Kirriemuir area, for young people to improve their confidence, develop better relationships (personal, social & integrational) & to increase their participation in positive activities.

Constitutional objectives
(a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Kirriemuir and area together defined by (hereinafter called 'the area of benefit') without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authoriiies, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (b) To make provision of recreational and learning facilities with the object of improving the condition of life for residents of Kirriemuir. (c) To promote the educational advancement and social welfare of young people and residents in Kirriemuir through Community Development by maintaining dedicated youth work and learning facilities.
