02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Charity is set up to provide information about local history to its members and to the public through an annual programme of lectures and the publication of books relating to local history. It also takes a stall at local events to answer enquiries about membership, to receive membership applications and to sell its publications. When opportunities arise it also undertakes on site investigations of sites of historic interest.
