What the charity exists to do

The charity aims to benefit the community of Blairtummock and Rogerfield, Glasgow, and more widely across Scotland, promoting equality and inclusion. Its objectives include: advancing public education on environmental protection, resource reduction, recycling, sustainability, community cohesion, citizenship, life skills, and equality. providing education and training for disadvantaged groups—such as children, young people, elderly, disabled, and socially excluded individuals—to improve life opportunities and employability. and offering facilities for recreation and leisure to enhance social welfare and quality of life. These goals encompass managing Blairtummock Community Hall and delivering Estate Caretaking services, primarily for Blairtummock Housing Association, to support community development and environmental improvement.

Constitutional objectives

3.1 The company’s objects are to promote the benefit of the community primarily within Blairtummock and Rogerfield, Glasgow, and thereafter elsewhere in Scotland without distinction of sex, sexuality, ethnic origin, nationality, disability, age or political, religious or other opinions by: 3.1.1 advancing education of the public in improvement, maintenance and / or protection of the physical and natural environment, the reduction, re-use and recycling of resources , respect for the environment, sustainable development, community cohesion, citizenship, life skills, the promotion of equality and other related subjects and matters, so that their quality of life may be improved. and 3.1.2 providing education and training, or assisting in its provision, for persons who have need of such education and training, including children, young people, socially excluded people, elderly people, disabled people and otherwise disadvantaged people, so as to prepare them for any trade, occupation or service and thereby advance them in life or enable them to earn their own livelihood. and 3.1.3 providing facilities, or assisting in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. In furtherance of this object, the Company shall seek to provide advice and assistance on matters relating to social welfare.
