02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Inspiring Communities SCIO works with local people across Stirling to support community regeneration, reduce poverty and disadvantage, improve health and wellbeing, and strengthen active citizenship. We do this through holistic, person-centred programmes including employability and skills, digital inclusion, volunteering, early years and family support, intergenerational activity, community music, online safety, wellbeing groups and social connection. Our work is co-designed with communities and delivered through trusted local relationships, helping people build confidence, reduce isolation, develop skills, access support and take part more fully in community life. We work alongside residents, volunteers, funders and partners to build stronger connections and more resilient neighbourhoods where people have the chance to thrive.
