What the charity exists to do

The charity was set up to relieve poverty through developing recycling services and providing recycled and refurbished furniture at low cost or free of charge to those in need by reason of financial hardship. To advance environmental protection and improvement through a) the recycling of furniture b) the re-use and reduction of waste.

Constitutional objectives

(1) To relieve poverty through developing recycling services and providing recycled and refurbished furniture at a low cost or free of charge to those in need by reason of financial hardship. (2) To advance environmental protection or improvement through (a) the recycling of furniture. (b) promoting education in the fields of the environment. Resource, recovery, re-use and reduction of waste, waste management and/or recycling, with a view to encouraging the use of more sustainable waste management practices. (3) To advance education and promote training, with particular reference to skills which will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment. (4) To promote, establish and/or support other similar projects and initiatives which further charitable purposes for the benefit of the community.
