02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up for the purposes as recorded in our Trust Deed. The main activities in relation to these at present are the negotiations with ACC regarding the acquisition of the land for the New Mosque and Community Centre Project and all associated matters.

Constitutional objectives
The trustees shall hold the trust funds and its income upon trust to apply them for the following objects ('the objects') for any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire (the area of benefit), and in particular the advancement of the Islamic religion, and any other charitable purposes which the trustees from time to time determine are suitable to be pursued in connection with such advancement including the relief of poverty and sickness, the promotion of education, the provision, in the interests of social welfare, of recreational facilities and the advancement of citizenship.
