02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provide affordable, accessible childcare for families in the village and surrounding area through a playgroup and toddler group. Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development through the provision, and strengthen community connections by involving local volunteers and families. We employ two people to run the playgroup, and have a volunteer committee who manage the playgroup and toddler group. We raise funds through session fees for the playgroup and toddler group, plus fundraising events throughout the year.

'The aim of the group is to advance the education and social development of pre-school children with the emphasis on the play experience, so that they take a constructive place in the community and also to advance the education of their parents and other appropriate persons.'
