02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The society promotes an interest and awareness of Stirling local history and surrounding area through a series of public talks which meet on the last Thursday of every month from September to April. It aims to support historic research, and occasionally produce and sell historic booklets and pamphlets, the funds from which go directly to help maintain the society. We encourage support for the Forth Naturalist Historian, the Scottish Local History Forum, and other local history societies in the Stirling region. The trustees are entirely voluntary and are engaged in organising events, programme of talks, promotion, and the maintenance of a website.

Constitutional objectives
