02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

TACC supports disadvantaged children in Scotland and in the countries where the Scotland football team plays. In Scotland we invite disadvantaged children to watch Scotland play football, we also make Christmas donations (finances permitting) to Scottish children's charities. Overseas we make donations to children's charities in the countries where Scotland play, and we take disadvantaged local children to the Scotland away match where permitting.

Constitutional objectives

4. The purpose of the charity is to raise funds and to distribute them to children’s organisations, groups and individuals in order to provide support, benefit, happiness and opportunity to disadvantaged children in Scotland and in those countries in which the Scottish national football teams play. The objectives of the charity are to 4.1 conduct activities in such a way as to ensure maximum funds raised are directed towards supporting disadvantaged children and administrative costs are minimised 4.2 promote opportunities towards children who may be disadvantaged by disability, poverty, education, violence and/or lifestyle 4.3 ensure that no group is excluded from applying for, or receiving, funding support as a result of race, religion or belief, disability, gender or sexual orientation 4.4 work co-operatively with agencies and like-minded charities to optimise the benefits and support for children 4.5 always act in a way that enhances the reputation of Scotland football supporters.
