02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We operate a community radio station, including a studio and four FM transmitter sites, providing training to members of the community to develop their presentation and technical skills both on-air and at live community events. Our participation in community events by providing live sound and PA forms part of the safety plan for those events as well as entertaining visitors.

Constitutional objectives
3.1 To encourage and advance active citizenship in all sections of the community through the making and presenting of radio programmes. to advance community cohesion and development across all aspects of local activity. to advance the inclusion of minority groups in community activity and to include such groups in becoming better recognised in the rural area. to encourage and promote active volunteering across all generations of the population. 3.2 To raise awareness of, and encourage participation in, the production of programmes about local and national heritage and to advance culture. 3.3 To advance education through the provision of training for volunteers of all ages, particularly young people and those with health issues.
