02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity is set up to support the development of girls and young people in our local community through the Girlguiding Brownies programme. We provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where girls can build confidence, learn new skills and develop friendships. We do this by running regular weekly Brownie meetings where girls take part in a range of activities including games, crafts, teamwork challenges, learning new skills and working towards Girlguiding badges and awards. We also organise occasional trips, events and community activities which help the girls experience new opportunities, develop independence and contribute positively to their community.
