Constitutional objectives
To relieve poverty, particularly among the residents of Renton and environs ('the Operating Area') (ii) To relieve unemployment, particularly among residents of the Operating Area, for the public benefit in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment (iii) To advance education particularly among residents of the Operating Area (including, without prejudice to that generally, provision of, andlor support for, health education) To promote training, particularly among resident of the Operating Area, and with particular reference to skills which will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment (v) To help young people, particularly those resident in the Operating Area, to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities, such that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and as members of society To relieve the needs of people (and particularly those resident in the Operating Area) who suffer fiom mental andfor physical disability, illness or impairment or have particular needs by reason of old age or current or past drug, solvent andlor alcohol abuse, and their carers and families (vii) To assist in the provision of housing for people in necessitous circumstances (viii) To provide, in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time activities available to the public at large within the Operating Area (ix) To encourage, stimulate and support volunteering principally in the Operating Area To preserve, restore and improve the environment in the Operating Area through the provision, maintenance and/or improvement of public open space and other public amenities and other environmental and townscape regeneration projects (but subject to appropriate safeguards to ensure that the public benefits so arising clearly outweigh any private benefit thereby conferred on private landowners) (xi) To promote, establish, operate and/or support other projects and initiatives of a
