Constitutional objectives

The purposes of the Trust are to promote the social and physical welfare and well-being of the inhabitants of Garnock Valley and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by seeking to promote association and co-operation among the relevant local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants generally in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities or assist in the provision of facilities and to promote recreational and other leisure time activities for the benefit of the Garnock Valley populace so that their living conditions may be improved and in furtherance thereof but not otherwise:- (a) to increase access to leisure and recreational lifestyle opportunities for the inhabitants of North Ayrshire and Renfrewshire. (b) to develop local accessible sporting and leisure opportunities and thereby encourage a more positive healthy lifestyle. (c) to promote social education, community safety and programmes which reflect the principles and policies of the Trust and restrict and discourage anti-social behaviour.
