To raise awareness of the needs of street children in Kolkata, India and raise funds for programmes and projects delivered through the Hope Kolkata Foundation, providing safety, care, education and the chance to thrive

Constitutional objectives

The Charitable Purposes of the Foundation ('the Charitable Purposes') are to promote, develop and provide services and support for the health, welfare, education and housing of street children, former street children, slum dwellers and their respective families, principally in India and elsewhere in the world and, only in connection therewith, the following relative purposes: (a) to promote and provide residential care and structures of social support. (b) to manage and maintain support centres, residential and otherwise: (c) to provide counsel and services, including micro-credit so as to improve the socio-economic status of street children, former street children, slum dwellers and their respective families. (d) to provide technical assistance, support and relief in emergencies. (e) to engage in research. and (f) to advocate and lobby for rights of street children and slum dwellers.
