02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We celebrate the arts together with nationally renowned experts. We do this through monthly lectures, days of special interest, visits and creative events. We support the next generation of arts enthusiasts through giving grants. We offer our members the chance to give a little of their time to local arts projects. In doing all this, we have fun, make friends and access the best of the arts in an affordable way.

Constitutional objectives
As a member of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies, the Society shall have as its objects the promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts and the giving of aid to the preservation and development of the national artistic heritage.
