02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

'The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in Africa and in such other parts of the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit including but not by way of limitation through the provision of orphanages and homes for abandoned and orphaned children including for those living with HIV/AIDS and in accordance with the Christian principles The advancement of education for the benefit of children disadvantaged or marginalised by reason of their economic or geographic circumstances . The promotion and protection of the physical and mental health of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in such parts of Africa and the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit through the provision of financial aid. The provision of recreation facilities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended.

Constitutional objectives

(a) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in Africa and in such other parts of the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit including but not by way of limitation through the provision of orphanages and homes for abandoned and orphaned children including for those living with HNIAIDS and in accordance with the Christian principles set out in the Schedule to the Articles hereto attached. (b) The advancement of education for the benefit of children disadvantaged or marginalised by reason of their economic or geographic circumstances including for those living with HIVIAIDS in Africa and in such other parts of the world as the Trustees may from time to time think. (c) The promotion and protection of the physical and mental health of those infected and affected by HIVIAIDS in such parts of Africa and the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit through the provision of financial assistance, medical care, support, counselling, education and practical advice. (d) The provision of recreation facilities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended including but not by way of limitation individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances.
