(a) To promote sustarnable woodlands and therr environs for educational, research, environmental, social and recreatlonal purposes for the benefit of local readents, visitors and the publrc In general, (b) To promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the envrronrnental, soclal and recreatlonal potential of trees, woods and forests, (c) To promote, encourage and secure the educational value of Scotland's woodlands and its scenlc and historic quaiities lncludlng the provislon of facilities in the Interests of the physical, soclal and cultural welfare of the people of Scotland as a whole.
