OSCR note: Previous name - Future Hawick from 10/01/2008 to 25/01/2024 This SCIO was incorporated on 31st March 2015 as a result of a Change to SCIO application by Future Hawick (SC039141), which was an Unincorporated Association registered as a charity since 10th Jauary 2008.

What the charity exists to do
The organisations purposes are to benefit the community of Hawick through undertaking projects both solely and in conjunction with partners which advance community development and improve the well-being, quality of life, and opportunities for the town and its population.

Constitutional objectives
4 The SCIO’s purposes are to benefit principally the community of Hawick which comprises the TD9 post code area (“the Community” – see attached map) with the following objects: The advancement of community development (including the advancement of regeneration) principally within the Community. To improve the well-being, quality of life and opportunities of the people of Hawick by bringing together local community and voluntary organisations to work with public agencies to enhance the town’s social, cultural, recreational and educational facilities, environment and economy. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
