02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide facilities and undertake activities/events particularly for the members of the mining community, their families and the wider community residing in the local area of Fauldhouse. Our large premises allows us to provide the community with a venue which can be used for any local organisations, groups and fundraising events along with providing Fauldhouse and District Miners Welfare Society and Social Club a premises to operate their organisation.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Society are to provide facilities for such forms of recreation and other leisure-time occupation as are conducive to the improvement of the conditions of living of the inhabitants of Fauldhouse and the neighbourhood thereof within the Societyfs sphere of operations as defined from time to time and in particular (but not exclusively) such of the inhabitants as are members of the Mining Community provided that nothing herein contained shall authorise the application of the Property to purposes which are not in law charitable.
