Constitutional objectives
To reduce the isolation of families within the disability community by encouraging and supporting community involvement to enable those families to have a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle. 3.2 The advancement of education through the organisation of educational workshops on disability for members and their children and also other adults and children. 3.3 The advancement of physical and mental health by identifying barriers to a healthier lifestyle, developing a sense of community, building and maintaining friendships and a sense of confidence through the development of the social acceptance of disability 3.4 The promotion of equality and diversity through development of the social acceptance of diversity by bringing together families & children living with disability and able-bodied children & families to socialise together, helping raise awareness and support the understanding of issues surrounding disability . 3.5 The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, and only in relation to recreational facilities or activities which are primarily intended for persons who have need of them by reason of their age or disability.
