02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Daisy Drop In is a drop in centre for parents/carers in West Lothian with children under 5. Our primary aim is to help improve outcomes in early years and health, reduce poverty and social isolation. We provide a warm, safe and welcoming environment for families to meet informally, receive advice and build friendships. We offer groups and activities 5 days a week to our users and everything we provide is free. We work closely with local organisations to ensure we reduce any gaps in service delivery and maximise help available.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 1. The advancement of education. 2. The advancement of citizenship or community development, 3. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities. 4. To improve the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 5. To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Craigshill and its environs and in particular parents and children by associating the residents, voluntary organisations and statutory agencies in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the life of the said inhabitants.
