02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
FSLT provides sport, recreation and health and wellbeing services from 14 facilities, on behalf of Fife Council, in accordance with its charitable objectives. FSLT delivers under three separate but linked strategic priorities: Widening Opportunities, Developing Potential and Developing Resources for Sport. By increasing participation at grass roots level, creating opportunities and pathways for people to fulfill their potential, from enjoyment of health and fitness through to longer term involvement with competitive sport, and the need to provide the right facilities and programs, FSLT seeks to be inclusive and support the health and wellbeing aspirations of the majority of the people of Fife. FSLT also provides targeted support for key groups, such as those with long - term health conditions and seeks funding for initiatives to improve the social aspects of health and fitness post- pandemic, providing access to facilities to user groups with barriers to participation.
