02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our objective is to advance and support the teaching and training of psychiatry to healthcare professionals in Malawi. The area within which the organisation shall operate (the ‘Area of Benefit’) is the whole of Malawi including, but not restricted to, Zomba Mental Hospital and The College of Medicine in Blantyre. We promote (but not promote exclusively) our activities and delivery operations to people within the ‘Area of Benefit’ who are medical and nursing students, healthcare professionals, and other groups with an interest in mental health. These people will be the organisation’s beneficiaries.
