02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity's core activity is the 500 voice Christian choir known as Praise Gathering which holds annual June concerts (2 of) in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The concerts also feature the Praise Gathering Youth Choir which has around 65 members ranging in age from 8 to 15. Each concert attracts an average audience of 1,650 excluding choir members. Ahead of the concerts, the Praise Gathering choir holds 10 weekly rehearsals in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. Registration for choir members opens each November via the charity's website and attracts an average of 500 singers drawn from approximately 200 churches across West, Central Scotland and Fife. As indicated in the Directors' Report, around 200 tickets for the concerts are purchased by donations from choir members and given to guests who are clients or contacts of a number of charities operating in Glasgow and Edinburgh and who otherwise would not be able to afford the cost of a ticket.

Constitutional objectives
The objects for which the Company is established is the advancement of the Christian faith and the financial support of Christian Ministries in the United Kingdom and worldwide and in furtherance thereof the Company shall seek to build up the Body of Christ and Christian witness through worship and praise at Christian events.
