What the charity exists to do
Tara Trust is primarily set up for the advancement of health and providing medicine and therapy. It does this by training and supporting therapists, providing facilities for them to practice and supporting a doctor of traditional Tibetan herbal medicine.

Constitutional objectives
The advancement of health and the provision of all forms ofmedicine and therapy based on compassion and in particular traditional Tibetan medicine and therapy. (2) The advancement ofeducation and in particular education and training in all forms of medicine and therapy taking as its main source the principles of Buddhist philosophy, psychology and ethics. (3) The relief of poverty and distress of the public and those in necessitous circumstances by the provision of money, food, clothing and other essential items so that their conditions of life may be improved
