02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Future Choices is designed to break down the barriers of social isolation that disabled adults face & supports their carers/loved ones. The Charity achieves this by providing a weekly social group (with transport) so that disabled adults can come together and enjoy playing games or doing activities, as well as enjoying food & drink together, this setting helps to improve people's mental health & well being, we then return these adults back home safely. We also provide many day trips and outings. This process allows us as a charity to increase the opportunities to allow disabled adults and their carers to enjoy life & get out of their homes.

Constitutional objectives
The group objectives are: a) The advancement of education in Aberdeen of the needs, requirements and appropriate support networks necessary to allow disabled people to lead a full and rewarding life and to provide support and facilities for disabled people in their home and community b) To provide recreational facilities or to arrange the organisation of recreational activities for disabled people in Aberdeen c) To advance the human rights of disabled people that they may live their lives free from stigmatisation, discrimination or other forms of prejudice and to promote equality in every respect for disabled people d) To promote the relief of those people in Aberdeen suffering from ill health or disability and to improve the social inclusion of same.
