02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide emotional, practical, financial, relation and spiritual support to well known and trusted partners within Ukraine engaged in a variety of humanitarian responses to the full scale invasion as well as more general work in their communities. This includes but is not limited to church groups engaged in re-building of damaged homes and providing for other material needs and providing football training for around 200 local youths. It includes supporting a Christian school in Kyiv by building relational ties with the staff and pupils, providing in-person encouragement though visits and helping financially in response to specific and often urgent needs. It also includes supporting the work of the local church in a village south of Kyiv, particularly the work carried out by Irina K with local families in crisis. We work to raise and maintain awareness in Scotland of the challenges faced in Ukraine, providing opportunities for engagement and involvement wherever possible.

4 The organisation’s purposes are: (a) To help provide long term support to the people of Ukraine, including but not limited to children and those affected by or at risk of being affected by poverty or family breakdown, helping to meet their spiritual, physical, relational and social needs.
