02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our club is a safe, caring and welcoming place where children can relax, play and enjoy time with friends before and after school. Our vision is where every child feels safe, happy and valued, and has a sense of belonging within our club. What matters to us is the children’s wellbeing and safety, kindness, respect and inclusion, play, friendship and choice, listening to children’s voices and working in partnership with families. We provide a safe and nurturing environment, caring, trained staff who know our children, opportunities for free play, creativity and social time, clear routines and positive behaviour support and open communication with parents and carers. Our promise to children and families is to keep children safe and supported at all times, treat every child with care, fairness and respect, create a welcoming space where everyone belongs, listen to children and involve them in their club and work closely with families to meet children’s needs.
