Constitutional objectives
The Company has been formed for the public benefit of the community of Edinbane as defined by the post code units IV51 9PN. IV51 9PR. IV51 9PW. IV51 9PX. IV51 9PU. IV51 9PT. IV51 9PS. IV51 9RE. IV51 9PP. IV51 9NZ. IV51 9NY. IV51 9PA (“the Community”), with the Purposes listed in the Sub-articles hereto (“the Purposes”), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). PURPOSES The Company’s main Purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Company’s Purposes are: To provide or advance the accessibility of recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. Advancement of citizenship or Community development, including rural or urban regeneration. To advance educational opportunities in the Community relating to environment, culture, heritage and/or history. To manage community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general as an important part of the protection and sustainable development of Scotland’s natural environment. To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Community without distinction on grounds of race, gender, political, religious or other opinions by associating with the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education. Further to provide direct financial support any inhabitant or inhabitants of the Community (1) entering into tertiary education, and/or (2) for small community development type projects.
