02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Purpose: the advancement of religion. Mission: to make Christ like disciples of the nations. Sunday service: Morning worship takes place every Sunday from 11. Since our last pastor Wesley Hands retired in October 2022, Guest Pastors Rev Nathan Payne and Ian Stewart of the Adrosan Nazarene church stepped in as part-time co-pastors from March 2023, supported by visiting pastors, mainly Trish Laird and Nick Daldry for a year. From April 2024 the church engaged visiting pastors for 6 months until November when Rev Ian Stewart agreed to stay on as part-time pastor for the church and will be supported by visiting pastors. Bible study: Bible study runs from 1:30 every Thursday. Film nights:2 Film nights were organised in December 2023 following successful community fun days earlier that year. Govan High School involvement: We continue to work closely with Govan High School which is adjacent to the church, including hot chocolate club every Thursday.

Our mission first and foremost is to ?make disciples?, to incorporate believers into fellowship and membership (congregations), and to equip (teach) for ministry all who respond in faith. The ultimate goal of the ?community of faith? is to present every person perfect in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:28) at the last day.
