The charity's objective is to undertake activities within the terms of its governing documents for the benefit of the community of the islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre.

The Trusts’ objectives are to benefit the community via the advancement of community development, including the advancement of urban/rural regeneration. 2.1 The advancement of education. 2.2 The advancement of citizenship. 2.3 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. 2.4 The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. including the provision, maintenance and/or improvement of public open space and other public amenities. 2.5 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. 2.6 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 2.7 The prevention or relief of poverty. 2.8 The relief of unemployment.
