Constitutional objectives

The company's objects are: (1) To advance education, particurlarly in relation to gardening, local food growing, healthy eating, traditional craft skills and matters relating to the environment. (2) To advance health through encouraging people to become involved in healthy exercise by participating in gardening, environmental improvement projects and similar activities, and by promoting healthy eating and healthier life styles. (3) To advance citizenship and community development (including the promotion of volunteering and the promotion of the voluntary sector and the effectiveness and efficiency of charities) by involving people who might otherwise be socially excluded in gardening, environmental improvement projects and other appropriate activities, and by encouraging the formation and development of local groups which harness the skills and energy of the local community and promote community cohesion. (4) To advance environmental protection or improvement (5) To relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, and in particular by encouraging them to engage in gardening, environmental improvement projects and other appropriate activities. (6) To promote, establish. operate and/or support other similar schemes and projects which further charitable purposes.
