02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Easterhill Community Church (ECC) is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee concerned with the advancement of the Christian religion in the east-end of Glasgow. Towards this goal, ECC holds weekly worship services, runs children and youth groups, holds weekly bible study and prayer meetings, organises outreach events, and provides for the poor and needy including asylum seekers. ECC also financially supports other (primarily Christian) charities in part fulfilment of Easterhill's charity aims.

Constitutional objectives
3.1 The objects of the Charity are. for the benefit of the public:- 3.1.1 the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs primarily in Tollcross, Glasgow and also throughout Scotland and the rest of the World by all means consistent with the teachings of the Christian Bible including worship, ministry, mission, prayer, witness, education, counselling and support, community service and the support of agencies and individuals and other charitable organisations involved in Christian missionary work and the relief of poverty or other social needs.
