What the charity exists to do
MIND UK’s main areas of focus are: adaptation of the successful MIND approach and models for programme implementation among diaspora communities in the UK, advocacy for development led by MIND and fund raising for MIND programmes in Malawi.

The prevention and relief of poverty. the advancement of education. the advancement of health and the advancement of community development for the benefit of the public and in furtherance of this by. a) Supporting communities in Malawi in sustainable economic and infrastructure development b) Building the skill base and supporting active volunteering participation of Malawians in Malawi and the UK c) Improving the social and economic life of the most disadvantaged Malawians in Malawi d) Enhancing the British understanding of Malawi, its culture and development perspectives through development awareness activities by Malawians in Diaspora We define sustainable development as 'development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs'.
