02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide cycling activities for the visually impaired. We have a range of Tandems and we bring out visually impaired cyclists on cycle runs of various milage twice a month. We have created a twinning arrangement with a similar group in France and we will be travelling to Montpellier in September 2026 to cycle.

Constitutional objectives
To encourage, facilitate and improve the health and well-being of people who are blind, partially sighted or have a dual sensory loss through participation in physical activities particularly but not exclusively in tandem cycling. b. To increase understanding and knowledge of the barriers facing people who are blind, partially sighted or have a dual sensory loss to public and voluntary sector organisations and, volunteers participating in the work of Talking Tandems.
