02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide cycling opportunities for the visually impaired and disabled. We do this by providing a small fleet of tandems that are used twice monthly by our visually impaired and sighted members.

Constitutional objectives
To encourage, facilitate and improve the health and well-being of people who are blind, partially sighted or have a dual sensory loss through participation in physical activities particularly but not exclusively in tandem cycling. b. To increase understanding and knowledge of the barriers facing people who are blind, partially sighted or have a dual sensory loss to public and voluntary sector organisations and, volunteers participating in the work of Talking Tandems.
