What the charity exists to do

Toryglen Community Base is a multi-purpose community resource centre that provides access to a range of services, activities, and spaces where local people can meet, learn or have fun.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To provide a recreational facility or organise recreational activities with the aim of improving the conditions of life for whom the facility or activities are primarily intended. 4.2 In furtherance of this object the organisation will be responsible for the management, promotion and development of the Toryglen Community Base and the promotion, co-ordination and development of community activities within the Toryglen Community Base. 4.3 To advance citizenship or community development we will work with local groups and (or) organisations to develop innovative and responsive services and increase opportunities for participation, learning, volunteering and employment. we will also promote and coordinate local events and programmes of activity that bring together a broad and diverse range of local residents within a community, cultural and ( or) sporting context. 4.4 The advancement of education. 4.5 In furtherance of the aforementioned charitable purpose we will provide accredited training and educational activities designed to enhance the employability prospects of individuals from the local community.
