What the charity exists to do
To keep alive the special qualities of Mary Leishman. By supporting the community to which she devoted her life to. Particularly the promotion of sports and arts but also anything else which will provide benefit and harmony to the people of Fife and beyond.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Foundation are: (a) the prevention or relief of poverty. (b) the advancement of education. (c) the advancement of health. (d) the saving of lives. (e) the advancement of citizenship or community development. (f) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. (g) the advancement of public participation in sport. (h) the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (i) the promotion of religious or racial harmony. G) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement. (k) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. (1) the advancement of animal welfare. and (m) any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes. The objects of the Foundation shall extend to Fife and elsewhere in the United Kingdom as the Foundation shall determine in its sole discretion. Without prejudice to the foregoing generality, the Foundation shall provide or intend to provide public benefit in Fife and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Spain as the Foundation shall determine in its reasonable discretion. The Foundation shall be and act all times within the definition of 'charitable' under the Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005
