Constitutional objectives
The Trust shall operate for the advancement of the following charitable purposes for the public benefit throughout Scotland and, in particular the communities of Crossgates and Fordell, all as more particularly shown in the area delineated in [Blue] on the plan attached as relative hereto (the 'Area of Benefit'): 1.1.1 the advancement of citizenship or community development. 1.1.2 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 1.1.3 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement. 1.1.4 the improvement or creation of pedestrian, cycle and bridleways in the area. 1.1.5 tree planting/landscape provision. 1.1.6 enhancement or creation of cultural or natural heritage features. 1.1.7 the promotion or creation of environmental schemes and improvements considered appropriate by the trustees which promote the enhancement of the character and quality of the rural and urban environment in the area of the Site. and 1.1.8 the advancement of any of the above purposes by the giving of grants or the provision of funding to persons, undertaking projects, initiatives and/or activities which are wholly charitable within the meaning of section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 and section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 or any statutory amendment or re-enactment thereof.
