02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Scottish Ju Jitsu Association's main objectives are as follows: • the advancement of health • the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture • the advancement of public participation • the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. o to provide, fund or facilitate teaching of the Sport and to encourage or make arrangements for the training accreditation, registration and licensing of coaches, teachers, referees and officials o to provide, fund or facilitate the provision of facilities and equipment to enable the Sport to be coached, taught and practiced in a safe and adequate environment.

the objects for which the Company is established are:- For the benefit of the public in Scotland, to advance public participation in sport by governing, organising, regulating, promoting and developing the sport and art of Ju Jitsu (the 'Sport') in Scotland. to advance health by encouraging public participation in the Sport and by managing and organising competitions. to advance education by promoting or procuring the teaching of the Sport and to provide, manage and maintain or assist in the provision, management and maintenance of, recreational facilities for the Sport's participants.
