What the charity exists to do

Preserve the former Inverkeithny Parish Church, deal with its ongoing maintenance, hold events in it for the benefit of the Public and make it available for let for weddings or funerals.

Constitutional objectives

The Trust objects are i) to benefit the residents of and visitors to the area surrounding Inverkeithny Kirk by the purchase and preservation of the Church building on the site of Inverkeithny Kirk in a condition befitting a site which is in a place of beauty in a bend of the River Deveron and has been a place of meditation and reflection for well over a thousand years thus preserving an important part of the environment, history and culture of the Community for the continuing enjoyment and contemplation of the Community, those who may have had family links within the area and all those who appreciate and choose to visit such places. and (ii) the maintenance of the fabric of Inverkeithny Kirk in a wind and water tight condition so that the building may be used for as long as possible for occasional funeral or wedding services and for occasional religious services thus providing to both residents of and visitors to the area surrounding Inverkeithny Kirk, social, recreational, educational, cultural and environmental benefits .
