02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Provide a weekly soup bus which goes out in the town of Ayr, stopping at 1 main location. This provides filled rolls, hot drinks, cakes and pastries and a place for people to chat and feel accepted. We offer a listening ear as well as supporting those who are struggling, whether by sharing of information, prayer, or supporting to access services such as rehabilitation centres. Meet individuals for coffees or meals, in order to follow up on progress, carry out Bible studies or provide emotional support. On occasion, provide energy top up and food parcels for those who are without food, gas or electricity. Provide bi-annual outings to allow an opportunity for those less fortunate to escape from what can be a very difficult life. This usually involves meals out, day trips and visits to the pantomime.
