OSCR note: This SCIO was incorporated on the 25 March 2014 as a result of a Change to SCIO application by Lochgilphead Phoenix Project SC041108 which was an Unincorporated Association registered as a charity since 10 December 2009.

02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The formal mission statement is to advance community development through the regeneration of Lochgilphead. Currently have in part been successful with the iconic Clock Lodge and expanding the annual Celtic and Pictish festival.

Constitutional objectives

4 The ORGANISATION's purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of community development through the regeneration of Lochgilphead and its environs the physical, social and economic structure for the benefit of the whole community. 4.2 Advancement of the health and well-being of the community of Lochgilphead through the promotion of sport, recreation and play facilities 4.3 Advancement of education in Lochgilphead through community learning and capacity building, particularly environmental improvement and conservation by sustainable means. 4.4 To promote and/or establish facilities and/or resources for the advancement of heritage, culture, arts, leisure and recreation and environmental protection and improvement of Lochgilphead and its environs. 4.5 To promote Equality and Diversity by working inclusively for and with all members of Lochgilphead community regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, sexual orientation or belief. 4.6 The area described as Lochgilphead will be the areas within the PA30 and PA31 Postcodes ('the Lochgilphead Area') but the ORGANISATION may work anywhere else outwith the Lochgilphead Area if this is to promote the purposes of the ORGANISATION
