02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide the opportunity of tuition in piping and drumming to all members of the local community. To perform as a Pipe Band in support of community events and in competitions To be of charity status and to comply with OSCR regulations. To be a member of and to comply with the rules of the RSPBA. To represent the town of Forres with dignity and distinction.

The association's objects are: a) To advance the education ofthe public in the art, heritage and culture of bagpipe playing and drumming by the presentation of public performances and other related activities. b) To promote equality and diversity by having an 'open-door' policy whereby anyone who wishes to join the band, may do so.
