02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Wildlife for Development developed a number of programmes that seek to alleviate poverty through research, education and advancement in the sustainable use, management and conservation of wildlife and land. Our three main programmes deal with the conservation and management of insectivorous bats as a source of bat guano, fruit bats as keystone species and restoration ecology (including disaster risk reduction).
