02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Hayfield Community Centre Management is set up to improve life for those living in the Hayfield area of Kirkcaldy, and whoever can access the facilities there, by managing the community centre to provide educational, social and leisure activities, to relieve poverty and encourage good health. We open as a Warm Space, providing a weekly low-cost community cafe (children eat free) with a clothing bank. There is a weekly Parent & Toddler Group, a lunch club for adults with additional support needs, a church Youth Club, and space for local groups and individuals to hire for children's parties or leisure and fitness activities. The grounds are set up as a Community Garden for local people to sit in, to grow their own vegetables and for children to play in.
