02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity was set up to provide and manage a community space for the inhabitants of the local community. We do this by advancing education though cooking groups. we provide recreational facilities and organise recreational activities such as knit and natter and our positivite cafe. we also provide a food pantry for those most in need

Constitutional objectives
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hallglen area without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions by associating the local and statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To maintain and manage or to co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance and management of the aforementioned Ettrick Dochart Community Hall for activities promoted by the Committee in the furtherance of the above objects.
