What the charity exists to do
The Stewarton Bands Support Group is an unincorporated association set up and run by a volunteer group of parents/guardians/family members of students participating in bands formed from the Stewarton Learning Community schools. The purpose of the group is to raise funds to support activities and provide equipment needed for the development and growth of the bands in collaboration with instrumental teaching staff. The Group's aim is to facilitate the maximum number of children having the opportunity to play musical instruments and participate in the band system. The Group supports the bands by funding instrument and band supplies, extra band tuition and other costs related to participation in local community performances and competitions.
