02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
PROJECT BONGO is a non-profit making charitable trust based in the Shetland Islands which was set up in 2010 for the following purposes: 1) To provide support and funding for small scale development and education projects in Ghana, West Africa. 2) To raise awareness of the development and educational needs of people in Ghana and West Africa in general. 3) To raise funds through donations and events to support people and projects identified by the Trust 4) To distribute funds to causes which the Trust considers worthwhile. Generally we finance borehole construction and support Food Bank initiatives in Bongo, Ghana.
