Constitutional objectives

The charitable purposes of the Company are: The advancement of education in the community by the development of individual capabilities, skills and understanding through the promotion of concerts, exhibitions and general activities to broaden knowledge and understanding of the culture of Peterhead and it's surrounding area. The advancement of citizen and community development by the promotion of all aspects of cultural understanding of Peterhead and it's surrounding area in relation to its history, culture and language, and the advancement of the arts and heritage of Peterhead and the North East of Scotland generally. The advancement of public participation in sport through the organising of sports activities in the town of Peterhead and by so doing providing benefit to the members of the community by their participation in such sports.The provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the condition of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, and only in relation to recreational facilities or activities which are available to members of the public at large. and The promotion of any other similar or related activity or activities which may be deemed to be charitable in their nature and be for the benefit of the community of Peterhead and its environs. These are its charitable purposes for the purposes of section 7 of the 2005 Act. For as long as the Company is entered on the Scottish Charity Register, its purposes may only be altered with the prior consent of OSCR and in accordance with any conditions attached to such consent.
